The Wisconsin School Music Association offers a music list of more than 5,000 carefully selected titles to promote musical growth through practice, performance, and evaluation at WSMA-sanctioned music festivals. Each year, more than 180,000 students take the initiative to participate in WSMA festivals, and use the music from the WSMA Festival Music List. Approximately 1-2 years of instruction. Class C: The first solo and/or ensemble experience for students. Approximately 2-3 years of instruction. Class B: Suitable for students in grades 8-12 with developing musical skills. Class A: The most advanced skills are required for Class A performance. Students perform standard repertoire in Class A Level descriptors are found below the selection number on several ensembles exclusively on this web site. Music selections within each event class need to allow for growth and development within the class. The level descriptors (Beg. = Beginning; Int. = Intermediate; Adv. = Advanced) are designed to give teachers, students, and parents additional guidance before previewing festival music.
