2002 Middle Level Honors String Audition Requirements

ELIGIBILITY

Orchestra students currently enrolled as full or part-time students in grades 6, 7, and 8 in WSMA-member schools are eligible to audition for the 2002 Wisconsin Middle Level State Honors Orchestra. A student must be a regularly enrolled member of their school orchestra during the audition and the fall Honors performance. Please read pages 123-124 for complete Honors Project information.

Audition Requirements

Motel barato Esbjerg All eligible students are required to perform:

• A Class B or Class A solo from the current WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival Music List. Students must provide the adjudicator with an original printed version of their solo. Pianos will not be available for instrumental auditions.
• Helsinki hotels Memorized scales with the indicated bowings as shown for their instrument below.
• Sightreading material presented during the audition.

Each participant is also required to participate in a 15-minute non-adjudicated Ensemble Class.

A Note to Directors:

Talented low string players are needed for the Middle Level State Honors Orchestra. Encourage all of your talented string students to apply, especially viola, cello and string bass players!
