The sub division (development) plan of Drax Hall Estate approved by the St. Ann Parish Council provides for the reservation of 36.5 acres of land for a community sports facility. These lands are to be held in trust for the community by the St. Ann Parish Council for sporting and recreational activities and will be managed for this purpose by a Committee comprising representatives of the St. Ann Parish Council, Drax Hall Estate and local sporting associations.

The polo field, comprising 20 acres, is leased to the St. Ann Polo Club one of the oldest polo clubs in the world whose responsibility it is to manage and operate the facility. It is the club's intention to improve the amenities so as to attract international tournaments.
