GlobalWave Network Operations

GlobalWave gives users highly accurate and reliable readings on the status of their assets by relaying position and sensor data between a compact radio terminal and VISTAR Datacom's satellite hub in Reston, Virginia.

GlobalWave GPS position and local sensor data is relayed from the GlobalWave network to the customer's IT interface via direct connect, frame relay, dedicated line or the Internet, and is instantaneously available to customers.

• commission/de-commission the terminal;
• configuring the terminal for desired monitoring and reporting schedules;
• performing data analysis;
• requesting polled data outside the normal scheduled reporting window; etc.

GlobalWave terminals will also report if they detect motion while asleep, a door is opened, low battery voltage is detected, if the terminal suspects it is being tampered with and a wide range of other parameters to be monitored and controlled.

GlobalWave provides an event report for external power disconnect/connect.
