Sunday:alberghi a Oslo Meet in Sausalito and enjoy an afternoon run along water Meet coaches and other trip participants during an evening cocktail hour Savor a delicious meal at Odine, offering fusion and eastern and western cuisines and gorgeous views of San Francisco
Monday:alberghi a Blackpool Explore the Marin Headlands trails during a sunrise run Learn to structure your marathon training and the importance of goal setting during a picnic Perfect your daily stretching routine Meet individually with the coach to discuss personal running goals and develop a personalized marathon training schedule Dine at a local restaurant of your choice (suggestions available)
Tuesday: Perfect your running form and skills with running drills during a morning track workout Lunch outdoors while learning the mental aspects of training and racing Develop and fine tune a strength training routine specific to runners End your day with a treatment at the Avanyu spa or a take a sunset kayak trip along Tiburon Join an optional evening dinner with coaches at one of our favorite Sausalito restaurants
Wednesday: Learn the secret to proper pacing and test your new skills during a tempo run across the Golden Gate Bridge Receive expert knowledge about nutrition during lunch Take advantage of a free afternoon and explore the surrounding area - drive out to Point Reyes, kayak in Richardson Bay, hike through the Muir Woods, enjoy the spectacular views of San Francisco from the top of Mt. Tamalpais, mountain bike in China Camp State Park or join a tour of Alcatraz Dine at a local restaurant of your choice (suggestions available)
Thursday: Discover the key to tacklinghilly runs and practice the technique on the Coastal Trail during amorning session Learn from an expert how to safely train and complete endurance running events Take a dip in the pool during a water running session Toast to new friends and the marathon journey during a farewell dinner
Friday: Test your new running skills during a practice 5K Enjoy brunch before heading our separate ways
Coaching support does not end after the trip. We are a resource for all participants throughout the entire marathon training experience. Through email communications, coaches will provide training support, refine personalized training schedules as needed and answer any marathon questions, coaching each participant until he or she crosses the finish line.
A detailed itinerary will be provided in the Traveler Information Packet. Specific details regarding the timing of sessions may change slightly from the itinerary presented above.
